2 posts within 2 weeks? I must be ill.

Yesterday I turned 25. I started my morning of with a little treat. I made doughnuts! Have you ever done this? It couldn't have been any easier. I took refrigerated biscuit dough, poked a hole in the middle with my finger (or you can cut a whole and have doughnut holes), heated oil in a pan on medium heat, and threw them in to cook. They took about 10 seconds on each side, so they cook very fast. After the were golden brown on each side, I sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar. YUMMMMM.

Everyone in my family was working all day and my parents were driving in from out of town, so I spent most of the day alone just running errands and hanging out. It was nice to relax. I enjoyed a few phone calls from close friends. My parents took us all to dinner at La Bamba, one of my fav Mexican restaurants around here. It was delicious! After dinner we had ice cream cake and I got to open my gifts... which included an iPad 2! I am beyond excited. It will be so nice to have while I travel a lot over the next month and when I am holding our little guy (who, by the way, arrives in 96 days). It was actually really fun to be pregnant on my birthday. I was overwhelmed with joy all day that I am happy, healthy, and expecting. The Lord has blessed us so much! I am looking forward to see what the next year will bring.
